Mr. Mike Kamaliev has successfully passed his doctoral examination on May 31, 2023 – congratulations from the IUL team! Numerous listeners attended the doctoral lecture of Mr. Kamaliev on the topic "Isothermal hydroforming of closed profiles - material characterization and process implementation". Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Homberg from the University of Paderborn traveled to Dortmund especially for the examination as a reviewer. In addition to Prof. Homberg, the examination was attended by the supervisor of the dissertation, Prof. A. E. Tekkaya, the chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Künne from the Fluid Mechanics group at TU Dortmund University, and the examiner Prof. Dr.-Ing. Moritz Schulze-Darup from the CCS at TU Dortmund University.

Mr. Kamaliev's dissertation will soon be published in the "Dortmunder Umformtechnik" series by Shaker Verlag. He developed a new method of internal high-pressure hot forming, which allows isothermal process control. At the same time, new characterization methods have been developed, with which, among other things, process-related failure criteria can be determined. After the examination, Mr. Kamaliev celebrated the event with drinks and snacks with the commission, family, and friends as well as the entire IUL team.
