IUL Executive Board Visits Miele Production Site in Oelde

On Wednesday, April 8, the Executive Board of the IUL visited the Miele & Cie. KG production site in Oelde. The plant serves as Miele’s competence center for the development and production of cookers, ovens, ovens with integrated microwave functionality, and the Dialog Oven within the Cooking business unit.

During the visit, the participants gained fascinating insights into the development, manufacturing, and testing processes of Miele’s innovative ovens. The delegation was particularly impressed by the plant’s high level of vertical integration and the exceptional product quality, achieved through the expertise of approximately 650 employees at the site and a remarkably high degree of manual assembly work.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Stefan Rosenthal (Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Miele & Cie. KG and alumni of IUL) for enabling this valuable behind-the-scenes look at the production of appliances that play an important role in everyday life.
