Advanced Simulation Techniques in Metal Forming II
The fundamentals of the non-linear finite-elememt-method as well as the use of commercial FE-software is the scope of this course “Advanced Simulation Techniques in Metal Forming II“.
Special emphasis is given to the verfication and validation of FE-models. In addition, students are introduced to the concept of thermo-mechanical coupling and damage in finite-element- simulations. The theoretical content is applied on complex pracitcal forming problems and validated by experimental data.
