2nd Interim Colloquium of SPP2476

The SPP2476 focuses on a key challenge in manufacturing: effects from preceding processes propagate throughout the entire process chain and interact with one another. Since real-world production is inherently stochastic, the Priority Program reformulates the design of the process chain as an inverse problem that explicitly accounts for these uncertainties.
This is precisely where the keynote presentation by Dr. Mauricio Santaella (Transvalor) added a strong industrial dimension: he offered a practical perspective on the very topics addressed by SPP2476 and demonstrated how these research questions translate into engineering decisions in practice.
In addition to the keynote presentation, both the working group sessions and the individual project presentations were characterized by a lively and constructive scientific exchange.
We thank all participants, presenters, and organizers for two excellent days and look forward to the upcoming projects in the SPP2476.
