Best Paper Award at the MSEC 2025 conference

We are proud to share that our paper, "Effect of Ball Burnishing and Laser Polishing on the Surface Characteristics of Deposited Layers in Hybrid Additive Laminated Tooling", has received the Best Paper Award at MSEC 2025 among 147 papers.

This publication is a part of the outcome of the PhD research of Hamed Dardaei Joghan, and was co-authored with Marlon Hahn, Farin Weinert, Yannis P. Korkolis, and A. Erman Tekkaya. The study presents innovative post-processing techniques, ball burnishing and laser polishing, to improve surface quality in hybrid additive manufacturing, with promising implications for advanced tooling applications.
