Prof. Sandra Regina Goulart Almeida from UFMG, Brazil, visits the IUL

On January 13, 2026, the IUL was visited by the Rector of Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Prof. Sandra Regina Goulart Almeida. UFMG is a UA Ruhr partner university. The Rector was accompanied by Prof. Matthias Epple, Scientific Director of the UA Ruhr Liaison Office Latin America, and Jane Artmann from the International Office of TU Dortmund University. After a presentation of the IUL, its research areas and the international Master's program “Master of Manufacturing Technology” (MMT) given by Prof. Korkolis, possible research collaborations and exchanges of students and research assistants were discussed. The visit concluded with a tour of the IUL's experimental field.
