Labwork Materialcharacterization (WING, MB, MMT)

This class provides students with knowledge of material testing techniques in forming technology. The course focuses on the tensile test, the in-plane torsion test, and the forming limit diagram. The students prepare for the respective tests via self-study (online lecture, literature, other sources of their choice). Relevant documents will be provided at an early stage or time will be given for self-research. In addition to the theory, the handling of the machines, as well as experimentation in general, and the interpretation of the measurement data are learning outcomes of the practical part. The results are documented in the form of reports and are presented in a final presentation. Finally, there will be a scientific discussion between the group and the supervising scientists.
